Southbank Sinfonia
In the UK, STB has been the principal partner of the Southbank Sinfonia since 2009. This unique orchestra provides a springboard into the orchestral profession for talented young musicians, affording 36 the opportunity to spend nine months performing with the orchestra in order to gain a professional introduction like no other.
In perfect harmony
Each year, Southbank Sinfonia welcomes 33 of the world’s most promising graduate musicians to embark on its renowned fellowship. More than just an orchestra, this is a community where talented young musicians can find their own creative strengths, take their musicianship to new frontiers and have a uniquely important voice in the sector, challenging and refreshing traditions.
Bringing back the music with entrepreneurial thinking
In 2020, live music fell silent. So in October, STB collaborated closely with our partners Southbank Sinfonia and Historic Royal Palaces to create a unique recording of specially selected music, filmed at the Tower of London. The result is an evening of uplifting music from these inspirational young musicians.
STB Swiss Open Gstaad
STB is the new title sponsor of the Swiss Open Gstaad, one of the most prestigious tournaments in Switzerland, where some of the world’s best elite players gather to compete every July. Past champions include the likes of Stefan Edberg, Roger Federer and Matteo Berrettini.
Known as the ‘Wimbledon of the Alps’ due to its unique backdrop, the STB Swiss Open Gstaad’s ethos is to preserve the best Swiss traditions and we hope the partnership will help elevate the tournament to the next level and grow the game in our home market by serving to inspire and champion the tennis stars of tomorrow.
